Nikkei Research, Inc. has released the 2022 U.S. edition of its “Global Salary Report of Local Staffs”. The report is based on the annual "Survey of Salaries and Employment Benefits for Local Staff in Japanese Companies", targeting Japanese companies in the U.S.

The report pictures the actual status of salaries upon job levels, wage increases, bonus, various benefits and welfare, etc. by region and industry. It also covers the change of workplace environment impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

We have received an overwhelming cooperation from a total of 126 companies for this latest report.

In brief, the wage increase rate for FY2021 was +3.44% from the previous year’s salary level, in average. The wage increase rate for FY2022 is expected to be 4.01%, expecting further growth, exceeding that of FY2021.
