In a survey of 11 brands from 7 major companies, Ebara Foods Corporation's "Puchitto Udon" took the top spot. Despite being a relatively new product launched in 2016, it took the first place in 9 out of 14 evaluation items, including "product concept," "brand name," and "advertising/promotion, TV commercials". Yamaki's "Kappo Shiro-Dashi" came in a close second. Ratings by manufacturer, Mitsukan was the top.
