Employment Situation Survey FY2022 -- news published on Nikkei, October 25

The number of job offers from major companies for college graduates (hiring from spring 2022) decreased by 2.2%. Although, improvement was seen from the 11.4% decrease in the previous year's survey. The manufacturing sector had a 0.4% increase, the first increase in three years. On the other hand, the recovery in the non-manufacturing sector is not yet seen, continued to be at a negative level, down 3.4%. The number of job offers for science and engineering majors turned to an increase for the first time in two years from the actual numbers in spring 2021.
