According to the survey targeting specialty retailers in Japan, 40.8% of the total 223 responded stores reduced their operating hours since COVID. Comparing by business categories, "home appliances" had the highest percentage of 63.6% in reduced hours. The overall sales revenue of FY2021 was 17.6934 trillion yen (among the 244 companies comparable to FY2020), a 4.1% increase, marking the growth in seven consecutive years. Nitori Holdings topped the list for operating income for three years straight.
