The National 815 Municipal Budget Survey — published on Nikkei Glocal

We asked 815 cities/wards about their "top-priority projects" for FY2022. The "maintenance and improvement of public facilities" on government buildings, schools, etc. was the top; selected by 304 cities/wards. In 2nd, "maintenance and improvement of infrastructure" on roads, urban infrastructure, transportation, etc., chosen by 210 cities/wards. "Environment and energy" such as building a decarbonized society and SDGs-related activities, was ranked 6th with 82 cities/wards. "IT/digitalization" was ranked 8th with 79 cities/wards.
