The cumulative sales of 172 stores of 68 domestic companies for FY2021 reached a total of 4.6344 trillion yen, an 11.5% year-over-year growth, the first increase in three years. It recovered to the 80% level of pre-COVID FY2019 state. The Isetan Shinjuku store had the highest net sales, with a 22.5% increase of 253.6 billion yen. Hankyu Department Store Osaka Umeda Main Store had the second highest, with a 14.6% increase of 200.6 billion yen. Compared to urban stores, regional stores are facing a slower recovery.
