Wholesalers who responded that the business conditions compared to a year ago are "worse" or "showing signs of worsening" rose to 30.7%, surpassing the share of companies who said it is recovering (24.4%).
For the reason of deterioration, 47.4% of the total expressed that it is because they cannot thoroughly pass on the soaring logistics costs to customers. Overall net sales of the wholesale industry (among 386 companies, comparable to the previous year) increased for the first time in two years, up 2.8% to 11.9469 trillion yen.
