Japanese universities are putting efforts into fostering talents that would lead to the country's economic growth. Of the 157 notable universities in Japan, 95 (61%) have "already increased" their IT investments. There were also 37 universities (24%) that have "plans to increase in the future." On the other hand, securing instructors is the challenge, with 120 universities, more than 70% of the total, saying they have "not enough" or "a little short" in those staff.
