QUICK Corp., in collaboration with Nikkei Research, conducted a survey asking teachers of civics and home economics at high schools across Japan. Less than 40% of high schools were proactively delivering financial education. Among those proactive schools, 80% said their students were "interested" in financial education. While not-proactive schools mentioned the lack of teacher skills and a lower priority, having compared to college entrance exam-related classes, as reasons for their reluctance.
