Nikkei Consumption DI – published on Nikkei/Nikkei MJ

The April survey of the “Nikkei Consumption DI”, which summarizes the business sentiment of consumer-related companies on a quarterly basis, showed that the business conditions index was -2, an increase of 15 points from the previous survey in January. The improvement was the second consecutive quarter, matching the results of the July 2019 survey before the spread of the new coronavirus. Of the 14 industries, 11 such as “entertainment/amusement”, “restaurants”, and “department stores” improved.
