Of the 306 companies that responded to the survey, as many as 93.9% raised the prices of their menu items in FY2022, and 52.6% is planning to raise them again in FY2023. The main reasons for the price increase in FY2022 were “increase in ingredient prices” for 95.5% and “increase in labor costs” for 85.7%. Store sales rose 13.6%, making the second consecutive year of growth and the largest growth rate since FY1997.
