When asked to select the method respondents are working on for proper maintenance of public facilities and infrastructure, “prolonging its life by increasing durability” was the top choice at 71.5%. In the 2nd came “decarbonization projects in public facilities and public enterprises” at 61.6%. Reflecting the decrease in the number of civil engineering staff in local governments, “public-private partnership including PFI and PPP” was ranked 5th with 20.1%.
