The average amount paid to workers in all industries increased by 2.60% from the previous year to 894,285 yen, making a record high for the second consecutive year. The non-manufacturing industry with 9.96% of the highest growth rate drove the overall growth. 9 out of 11 industries including railways and buses posted positive growth. On the other hand, manufacturing industry had only 0.82% increase and restrained the overall growth rate significantly from 11.29% of the previous year.
