Price Trend Survey of Consumer Goods Manufacturers

The pace of price hikes has slowed, with 62% of food and daily necessities manufacturers planning to raise prices over the next year, down 13 points from the previous survey in April. 51% of companies raised prices from April to June, and 80% put up prices twice or more since 2021. The percentage of companies that have decreased sales volume after raising prices was 55%, an increase of 7 points from the previous survey. Consumers are becoming more frugal.
