Survey on the situation in the by-election – published on Nikkei

We investigated the situation in the by-elections for the Nagasaki 4th district of the House of Representatives and the Tokushima/Kochi constituency of the House of Councilors, to be counted on October 22nd, using a public opinion poll. Both are a one-on-one battle between the ruling and opposition parties, but while the Nagasaki 4th ward is a close battle between candidates from the Constitutional Democratic Party and the Liberal Democratic Party, in Tokushima and Kochi, opposition-affiliated independent candidates are ahead. However, more than 10% of voters in both constituencies have not yet decided where to vote.
