The Kishida Cabinet's approval rating was 33%, down 9 points from the previous survey in September, and the lowest since the government took office in October 2021. Those who "disapprove" increased by 8 points to 59%. 65% of respondents said they did not think the income tax cut announced by the prime minister as a measure to combat rising prices was appropriate, and 58% said they did not expect the government to implement economic measures on November 2nd.
