Nikkei Consumption DI – published on Nikkei/Nikkei MJ

The Business Conditions Index (DI) of the Nikkei Consumption DI, which shows the business confidence of consumer-related companies, was +15 in October, setting a new record high. This was 6 points higher than the previous survey in July, which was the highest since the survey began in 1995, driven by automobile sales. Business confidence improved in 8 out of 14 industries, but the outlook for the next three months declined for the first time in six surveys.
