A joint survey with Nikkei to its 1,628 readers on reskilling skills and knowledge necessary for work showed 47% of them were being engaged. The ratio reached 55% for companies with 20,000 or more employees, while only 39% for companies with fewer than 50 employees. Of the fields they are actually relearning, 27% were “programming and other IT-related” and 24% were “AI and machine learning.”
