ITOCHU Corporation took the top spot for the first time, up from 6th place last year, in a survey of “companies with high legal capabilities” that were asked by leading corporate lawyers. Recognized for focusing on human resource development. Second place was Mitsubishi Corporation, and third place was Nippon Steel. When we asked legal personnel at 239 major companies, 89 companies answered that the top priority issue faced by their departments was “insufficient number of staff (general legal staff) and difficulty in recruiting.”
