The amount paid per person (weighted average) was 865,903 yen, an increase of 2.62% from the previous year, exceeding the 2018 figure and the highest since the survey began in 1975. This is the third consecutive year that sales have exceeded the previous year, but the growth rate has fallen from 10.15% the previous year. The driving force was the non-manufacturing industry, where the service industry performed well, increasing by 5.16%, outpacing the manufacturing industry's growth (1.59%) for the second consecutive year.
